I don't get the title, it doesn' Well Adamus is my favorite character. I don't get the title, it doesn't fit the book at all. I like the inclusion of view spoiler [ Malcolm view spoiler [ and finally the Garde may have a parental figure. Since Lore killed of every other parental figure. What I predict in the coming books: Book four picks up right where book 3 left off, exactly the second after or minutes after.

They find Malcolm and Sam in the base but not Adamus. Adamus is found later in the books. Pre-Review: While I like the fillers in between the year gaps, seriously?

Sam has been reduced to this? Would it be so awful to have actual resolution in The Rise of Nine, or maybe more character development in the books? Why can't he just make this book into a full book? There should be enough for that. I will read this, but seriously? View 1 comment. Apr 20, April rated it it was amazing Shelves: reads.

Oh dear Adam! I am so proud of you. You're so cool! I found him so interesting here rather than the previous books. This book or rather some of these short stories are starting to look like one book that has been split up into chunks.

Because usually these type of short stories are just background to the main book, but this is something you should be reading. Oct 08, David marked it as to-read. Would it have killed Pittacus Lore to have actually had some freaking plot resolution in Rise of Nine? Or does he not have the necessary Legacy for that? Mar 11, Tho Dinh rated it it was amazing. Who knew that a reader can grow so attached to a Mogadorian? The book was written very well and I loved the character development in this short story. There was a particular scene in the story where it just makes a person want to cry because of the events that unfolds. The appearance of Malcom Goode was a surprise and even more when Sam made a reappearance.

There I recently finished this fantastic story. There is a cliff hanger at the end, so I'm ready for whatever is next. MY BOY. He's so sweet, pls love him. Feb 05, Siobhan rated it it was amazing Shelves: ebooks. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the cliffhanger it ends with!!! I'm so glad that Sam is alive and so is his dad, Malcom. The ending upset me because I have grown so fond of Adamus and I'm hoping he does survive.

I cannot WAIT for the new book to be released and to learn what happens!! I thought the book was awesome, filled with action that always kept you wanting to find out more. One of the best story lines in the history of I Am Number Four.

It was so damn touching. At first I was like what? This Mogadorian again? Sep 06, Sofia Rodriguez rated it really liked it. Oct 28, Eden rated it really liked it. Once again!

Another awesome audiobook in the Lorien Legacies series! I was a little more bored with this story line than the others, but it was still good!!! May 12, Katia rated it it was amazing Shelves: science-fiction.

Adam is probably my favourite character in the series. I'm a sucker for bad guys turned good. Aug 13, Olga rated it it was amazing. I really enjoyed reading it.

One of the best Lost Files, I've read - the story told by Adamus in the very beginning annoyed me, but right now I really started to like this guy. I can highly recommend it! I liked that this was a continuation of Adam's story and how it intertwined with the main plotline, but to be honest Malcolm was always kind of a boring character to me Jan 02, itchy rated it really liked it Shelves: electronic.

Good for you, Adamus. Apr 14, Daniel rated it really liked it. My boy Adamus does not miss. Feb 03, Brittany rated it really liked it. I love getting the back story on Adam. Adamus survives the fall and has been living at the aid camp ever since while he heals.

He's comfortable there and he feels as though he is doing some good, and his urgency to help the Garde has waned.

One does her best to awaken this desire, but to no avail. She finds herself getting weaker and weaker, sometimes disappearing entirely for days. Eventually Adam realizes he has to save One by going back to his home and get The Search for Sam is a novella that follows the story of Adamus once more. Eventually Adam realizes he has to save One by going back to his home and getting back into the lab to reconnect with One's memories.

He expects to be met with disdain, but he comes to find that the General has not told the truth about his defection.

His people simply thought he died at the hands of the Loric. The General gives him one week to show his competence, or else he will kill him. During this time he gains access to the lab and learns that the procedure that gave him access to One's memories has been modified and improved. One's body is still perfectly preserved for this purpose, as well as several Greeters including Sam's dad, Malcolm.

Adamus tricks his father into allowing the procedure to be done on him once more, which almost kills him. Adamus resigns himself to the fact that he and One will perish, and begins to sabotage the Mogs work. The General comes to kill him, but he is convinced to donate Adamus's body to the lab, since it is determined that his memories, along with One's, can be downloaded from his body but will kill him in the process. Adamus subdues the doctor and releases all of the bodies from their pods, thereby making them worthless.

However, Malcolm is still alive, and he awakens. One then tells Adamus that her time is over, and Adamus must go forth and take his place among his new people, the Garde. He then acquires her Legacy of causing earthquakes. He uses that ability in the lab, and Malcolm and Adamus escape and go on the run. They use that time to practice Adam's new legacy and helping Malcolm get his memories back, while heading towards Paradise, Ohio so Malcolm can check on his son.

When they arrive, they learn that Sam has been taken and that he has been helping the Garde in their fight against the Mogadorians. They believe Sam has been taken to the New Mexico government base, and they go on their way to rescue Sam. They find Sam and he and Malcolm escape the base with the help of Adamus, who stays behind and uses his legacy on the base. Adamus is still alive, and he knows he must catch up to the others in order to win their trust and help in their mission.

It was very heartening to read this novella, and I'm glad Adamus has found his way again and wants to help the Garde. It's amazing that he was able to acquire One's legacy, which means one more Garde member to help with the cause.

The fact that Malcolm has survived this whole time is also unbelievable, and I'm ecstatic that they were finally reunited. I'm looking forward to when the three of them are reunited with the rest of the Garde and they can continue their fight. Jan 24, Charlotte rated it really liked it. Needed some relaxation after these morning so sort out to find the next Lorien Legacies; The Search for Sam.

Although I thought I may get fed up listening to Adam and the Mogadorians, I am actually pretty enjoying filling in the gaps. I feel so excited and in the know. I did not think the name for the novella was very apt to be honest. I was expecting to hear an entire story about Sam, definitely one of my favourite characters, instead the search was only really addressed in the last part. So, whilst I liked seeing Adam transform, a better title would be nice so than I am not disappointed by lack of characters.

There, he meets Doctor Zakos , Anu's successor, and persuades him to perform another improved mind-transfer experiment in order to protect One who is fading more and more in his mind. Demoralized and frustrated, he later abuses the intelligence system and is promptly arrested, before being sent to Zakos' lab for one final lethal experiment on the latter's requests. Before the experiment begins, he overpowers Zakos and allows One to take control of his body, to free Malcolm Goode the last surviving Greeter and conduct another experiment and transfer her Legacy of Earthquake Generation to him.

While unconscious he uses this Legacy to decimate Ashwood Estates, Malcolm manages to carry Adamus to safety through the collapsing base. In his unconscious state Adamus bids a final goodbye to One as her memories depart him for good.

During their travels wandering, Adam befriends Malcolm despite being a different species; Adam asks Malcolm questions to revive his memories, while Malcolm trains Adam on his newfound Legacy, the key to which he learns is anger. The two, aided with Adam's Legacy, infiltrate the base and succeed in freeing Sam, but not before the Mogadorian guards led by Ivanick Shu-Ra find them.

Adam lets the father and son escape, before conjuring a large explosion at the armory that kills Ivan, injuring himself in the process. As the Dulce Base collapses around him, Adam strongly believes that he will live. Explore Wikis Community Central. Register Don't have an account?
